Peter's Story

Life Wife: Patricia (19 yrs) Daughter Yvonne - Married 18 years. Grandson Garrett Dylan Boone b. 4.30.92 the G-Man! Granddaughter Dakota MacKenzie Boone b.11.16.01 Little Mac I moved from a Chicago condo to carve our 1 acre homestead out of an soy bean field near the Wisconsin border in 1994. I've been a teacher, a bartender, a pool manager, a sprinkler fitter, a salesman, a techno-geek, a model, an actor. And I didn't always have to be me. In fact I often wanted to be you... and was. Lived in Goshen, Wappingers, Hyde Park, Staatsburg, Rhinebeck, St. Paul MN, Maplewood MN, Minneapolis MN, (Go North ___ Man) Chicago and now in a little house surrounded by corn and soybeans in the very northeastern reaches of McHenry County, Illinois. Employer-Accenture (or the firm formerly known as Andersen Consulting - whew)-last 17.5 years. I'm a Account Manager for 30 Accenture software accounts and am part of the Delivery Tools (Software Development) Mobilization team. w SDLC SCM tools (I am filled with TLAs). Time time time is on my side... or falling quickly away behind me. I travel a bit, over 50% of my work weeks. In fact I was scheduled to land at National Airport at 9:30 on 9/11/01. My customer delayed a meeting and the flight was changed to leave Ohare at 10:30. Got off the ground a week later. In '06 did over 85,000 miles on an airplane, most of it between Chicago and Washington, DC. Each year I do over 30 trips. This year it's been a winter in Minneapolis. I read a lot, over 100 books a year. This year it's been Abe Lincoln and evolution with lots of novels. Books I recommend - Time Traveler's Wife - Niffenegger ; Belle Canto - Patchett; Team of Rivals - Goodwin-Kearns; Scandalmonger and Freedom - Safire. All the Allon novels by Silva. Love beach books - mysteries mostly. Oh yeah, I take vacations via air. Mom died in '86 and Dad remarried in '94. He has gotten as well and grouse about the infrequent travelers and their lack of preparedness. Please don't be one of them. Email me.
