Life From Carey to Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service, then to the University of Michigan Law School, one year remaining in Ann Arbor with the woman who would be my first wife, then 26 years in private practice with a law firm (when I joined it in 1976, I was the 4th attorney in the firm; it never grew too large and now has about 15 lawyers with whom I don't keep contact) and then to a job which I enjoy very much since 9/4/02: general counsel with an old client. On my 3rd marriage: commenced 1991, lasting the rest of our lives. I read a lot: NYT, WSJ, Foreign Policy, Foreign Affairs, Harpers, the Altantic, books (almost all non-fiction; almost all history; most military history). I am a big U of M football fan and from August through December that's my biggest interest. I am still a Houston Astros fan, still waiting for one World Series WIN (yes they made the 2005 World Series but fell short, having won their first playoff series in 2004).
