Peter's Story

School Mr. Keeley(pyhsics),Miss Cravelli, best teacher ever. Mr Whitimore, great too. Ms. Ferretti(french), Ms. Ward(english),Mr. Dietz(biology), Mr. MAC(Vice Priciple), Ms. Beckett(office), Mr.Grifone(math),just a few of my favorite people. College 1971-1972 Ripon College.......who?Where? Who would know? Wisconsin, Alma mater of Spencer Tracy, Harrison Ford, and Al Jareau. That didn't take long did it? 1992-1994 Indiana University, Associate Degree "Of General Study" With Honors, Deans List 2 Semesters. I got to take almost any class I wanted. All the music I could. Black Composers-History of Jazz and Soul-AfroAmerican Choir Esamble/performed bass. Thanks.PZ Military Did you know that when you join the Army they cut off all your hair??? I found out 1980 Sept.thru Jan. I went through boot camp at age 27. Pretty rough, spent 2 days laid up with shin splints. if you never had them you don't want them. Honorable discharge and 6 years inactive reserve 1981-1986. No one ever called me up and I never went anywhere. Relationships Married first to a lovey Irish girl named Eileen from Baltimore. I began to show symptoms of Bi-Polar syndrome which lead her to leave. She has been married these last 30 years to my close friend from the time. It must have been meant to be. Married a second time to a hot tempered South Caroline Cherokee Indian woman. It lasted all of 4 weeks but wound up with my enlisting in the US Army. It was my plan to support her three kids and us. Long story short it was not meant to be. Married again after 10 years of much introspection to a wonderful woman from Chicago southside, Christine. We have been married 15 years. It denfinetly was meant to be. Pursuits From high school I attended 1 year at Ripon College and spent most of my waking time hanging with a traveling Band calle Amerika Rescue. A roadie kind of thing. They did great Tina Turner stuff. After that one year my dad seemed bent on enforcing a no-fly zone that if I were not going to school then I was going to work. As luck wo...Expand for more
uld have it mom and dad had moved to Ocean City Maryland and a BIG construction boom was on. I did it all, plumbers helper, hang drywall, carpenters helper, wash dishes, hotel desk clerk, pot walloper in a big crab house, paint houses, bell hop, waiter. All the time along with this I work a band playing anywhere that would hire us. '72-'87. It was awsome. by the end of it all my dad and I were friends. He actually liked my last band and the music. I ran my own paint buisness and the band really made music and covered all it's expenses. '87 dad passed away and I helper mom move to Indiana to be with grandkids. We tore up all our roots. It lasted only a year and she moved back but I stayed on in Indiana. Good move. After the winning the NCAAA Indiana was a hot place. I started two new bands an painted for a medical company. Paid off all my debts, car, mobilehome, etc. and met Chris, who a friend of the bands singer. We hit it off and I took her home to meet mom. Corny huh. Chris fell in love with the ocean and two years later we were there. Mom had had a car wreck and needed help so we moved. We spent 6 years in Ocean City until mom passed. After that Chris lost her oldest son Andre in a car wreck. That was the hardest thing ever. As OC was crowded now we sold the house for good money and moved west. Las Vegas baby! We missed our window by just about 6 months as the vegas house prices doubled overnite. But we bought a piece of land and resold it at a profit. We spent 3 1/2 years in Vegas and have come back to Indiana to be with grandkids. I am sick all the time here and we will be movinf west again soon. For the last 4 years I have been playing the bass again in Gospel church where ever I can. It is very rewarding and a real stretch of playing skill as the music is genrerally very up tempo and complex. Hope still burns that music will provide a livelyhood. Read this over to update.....still working this out.....built the wing spars to my plane this summer, may move to Knoxville if JTV hires Chris. Cheers.
