Leron's Story
Life
Well, let me see, first things first. I know some you all are wondering why my profile says Leron Peterkin. If you all remember, I was Leron Peterkin up until the 6th grade and it changed to Williams. After graduating high school I changed it back to Peterkin!
Since high school, I've done quite a bit. I attended Benedict College 1 semester, transferred to USC-Columbia and attended there a year. I joined the US Army in 1990 and fought in Desert Storm. After I left the military I re-enrolled at USC and finished with a BA in Psychology in 1995 and also went a got a baby and my oldest daughter was born in 1994. I got my first job Sept. 1995 at Chesterfield-Marlboro Technical College in Cheraw and I've been here ever since. We are now known as Northeastern Technical College. I am currently enrolled at Capella University working on a PhD in Education, Leadership in Higher Education. God has truly blessed me as you all may have gathered and I'm also a licensed Minister of the Gospel. I am a minister at Shiloh Baptist Church in Bennettsville and I was licensed in October 2004. There is so much to say, but so little space. Finally, I have a beautiful wife and her name is Vicky and we have 3 children total. I received full custody of my oldest daughter in 2001, got married in 2002 on TV (The Wedding Story), had my middle daughter in 2003 and my son in 2005. The family is complete and we are all just living and loving each day as God has granted them to us. I am looking forward to our 20 year class reunion. I hope you all recognize me because the scary curl is gone! Take it easy Class of 88 and as Ursula Evans said in high school, we still dominate!
