Since graduating from law school in 1982, I have been an elected county attorney, an assistant felony prosecutor, a defense attorney, an attorney for the Texas Department of Public Safety, and a drug task force prosecutor. I have authored numerous appellate decisions, setting new precedents in criminal and civil law, that have been published in the Southwestern Reporter System. Both my son and daughter, ages 20 and 19 respectively, are in college. I have been married for 22 years as of November 2003.
