Phil's Story
I am currently living in Greensburg, Ky with my beautiful wife Joy. I am retired and play golf whenever I get the opportunity.
Some of my memories that bring a smile to my face are those Friday night football games. Go Green Wave..
I lived in Gallatin all through high school and took a few classes at Vol State after high school.
I was in the restaurant industry for 20 years and later went on to own several restaurants in other states. After
leaving that industry I owned a maintenance company and an Internet Marketing Company.
I have 3 children and 6 grand children with my oldest grandchildren being 17 years of age.
I always head for the golf course to relax. There's something about the game that gets your mind off everything else. It requires total concentration.
My HERO in life is Ronald Reagan. He was everything I would want to be.
I have lived all over the South Eastern part of the United States. I moved 15 times during my career in the restaurant industry.
I love all sports and use to participate in baseball, softball, basketball, golf, tennis, bowling. Life has now put limitations on me but I still play golf at every opportunity.
My biggest surprise in life has been my career. I walked into a restaurant in Gallatin and ask for an application only to be ask if I was interested in management. The rest is history!
Two of my favorite teachers were Ms. Weber and Ms. Bills.
If money were no object I would make sure all my children's homes were paid for and they were comfortable. The second thing I would do is build the home I have always wanted and drive the car of my dreams. MY NUMBER ONE GOAL AFTER THE ABOVE WOULD BE TO TRAVEL TO EVERY PLACE IN THE UNITED STATES THAT I HAVEN'T SEEN.
If I could go back in life I ...Expand for more
would start playing golf at the age of 8 and get the proper training. My perfect career would have been to be a professional golfer.
My current age is 61. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be considered to old to do anything but sit on the front porch in a rocking chair.. I was so completely wrong. Now that I am that age and am still fairly active..
I had my first crush in the seventh grade. I was transferred from another school and walked in the classroom and there she sat. I carried this crush all the way through high school. I was always shy when it came to approaching girls. She never had a clue until we were grown. She ended up being a member of my Mom's church, which I occasionally visited. I told her about my crush after church one Sunday.
My best friend would tell you I'm forceful, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as quite and reserved..
I am still the same guy from years ago but I dress a little different these days, usually in casual sports attire.
In 10 years, I hope to be comfortably retired. I'm going to get there by my investing and hard work..
My closest friend is Kenny Jones. We met each other when I was 14 and he was 10. We still play golf together and talk on the phone often.
Everyone would be surprised about my appearance that I went to school with......You can see that in my profile picture.
My first job was at Gary Mfg., where I got paid $1.25 starting out in high school to $3.50 8 years later.. What I remember most about it is the people I worked with...
I was about 5 years old. I often played in the drive way and one morning the milk truck ran over my toy John Deer tractor and smashed it flatter than a pancake. That left an impression on me.
