Philip's Story
After Central, I went to U.of M., took 5 yrs. to graduate in English, due to starting in pre-med, learning how to play bridge, and acting in speech dept. plays, radio and tv. I continued at Wayne State, getting an M.A.+30 in English, working as a TA for 4 yrs. Taught at U. of Akron, U. of Cincinnati, Albion College and WCCC, and Wright State U.. Acted a little at Akron. Switched to coundeling in Special Student Services at WSU, and got another M>A. Finished up with 24 yers at WSU, 18 with the Upward Bound P...Expand for more
rogram, and got active in community theatre. Still acting, reading, traveling. Divorced once, present marriage is coming on 26years. to one of the great social work managers in the state, before she retired, too.
Have visited friends/relatives in Trinidad, Hong Kong, Jakarta, and toured Bali, England and Scotland. Fav authors are Roth, Irving, Doctorow, Follett, and Chabon. Fav movie is original Blow-Up. Fav music is all 60's, 70's era folk-rock. Have 2 cats, a house in the 'burbs, and an SUV. Boring, right?
