Philip's Story
I was born in the Ironbound on December 13th 1943.I lived across the street from Oliver St School.I graduated in 1958 and then went to East Side High School.I graduated in 1961 at the age of 16.I could not find a job so when I turned 17 I enlisted in the army like so many of my other friends did.It was like a tradition back in my day.Graduate high school,enlist and get married.I got married and lived in the Ironbound until 1979 and bought a house in Woodbridge.In 1984 I bought a house ...Expand for more
in the Poconos and i retired from the Teamsters Union in September 0f 2005.I still miss the days growing up and attendiding East Side.I had so many friends that I have lost contact with.I have 7 grand kids and 4 children.Two boys and two girls.I am a avid hunter and fisherman.I belong to the Sons of Italy and the Knights of Columbus.I also help out at the V.A. hospital in WilksBare Pa.If I have time,I also build computers and sell them for cost for people who cannot afford to buy them.
