Military All in all I was in the service for six years. Married after three in 1963 to Alice Perez (1962) and went to Ethiopia with my wife for three years as an Military Policeman. Our first child was born there.Worked as the Sgt. in charge of town patrol for three years in Asmara. Had to clean out the bars at 12 p/m every night.Two other M.P.s worked the assignment with me along with a local Ethiopian cop,fights,drunks and whores, what a job!! Ft. Bragg 1960 to 62 82nd MP Co. Swift Strike 1 and 2 Ft. Bragg 1962 to 1963 503 rd MP Bn. Co C . Worked James Meredith Oxford Miss. riots, Birmingham riots, etc. Kagnew Sta. own Patrol for 3 years. Also worked part time as the Asst. Manager Elisted Mens Club-- .I Have three grown children, all married with seven grand kids. We are currently living in the Murrieta Ca.area. In 1967 became a cop worked 17 years at West Covina P.D.,four years at Azusa P.D.,nine years at Corona P.D.and retired after 30 years of service in 1997 as a Captain. Spent five years after retirement working for the United Nations in Bosnia and Kosovo with the International Police Task Force, worked with police officers from all over the world, great experience. Worked as an independent contractor for a company that contracts with the Dept of Defense on security matters. As of 4 months ago quit work all together and now enjoying the fruits of my labor. Retired Retired in 2012. Celebrated 50 years of wedded bliss in 20013 7 grand-kids,5 boys 2 girls ages range from 16 to 3 weeks.We now have two twin girls - great grandchildren -!! Life is good.
