Phillip's Story

I always wanted to be a baseball player when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea. As it turns out, they were wrong. I just let my feelings go. I relax by watching sports on tv. The wildest thing I ever done in school was the egg wars we had with the Goods. I enjoy going to work each day. This is my 30th year teaching math. My sports hero's were Mickey Mantle and Magic Johnson. My other heros are members of my family for obivious reasons. I live in Sandusky, Ohio ( Cedar Point). I moved here for the teaching job. My biggest surprise in life is how successful I have been. And all the young lives I have been able to be a part of. I would love to see Mr. Hansen I believe he influenced me to become a teacher. If I won $100 million, I'd give part of it to god, then spend the rest on on my bills, my kids college education and a rainy day. I went to Central Michigan and live in a dorm there. It was one of the most fun times of my life. I am truely happy being here teaching kids and raising my family with my wi...Expand for more
fe of 25 years. My current age is 52. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be dead. I was so completely dumb. My first crush Carol broke my heart. My best friend would tell you I'm a good friend, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as arrogant. I dress as a professional each day. I wear a shirt and tie everyday. This is just the opposite of how I dress in school. The weirdest Job I ever had was writing the math proficiency test for the State of Ohio. I share my home with my wife, Donna, which I find a pleasure everyday. I was a basketball coach for 16 years in which I have won the conference championship 8 times. If I could change one thing I would have worked harder in school. I think everyone at school would be surprised at my success as a teacher for 30 years. My first job was at Capitol Drug Store, where I got paid $1,45 an hour to sweep. What I remember most about it is the people I worked with.. I remember the time my dad took off work to watch me play baseball and I pitched a no hitter.
