Pamela Sue's Story
25 April 2008--Notes on Pamela Phillips Repp
* Moved to Munich in 1965 when my dad was
transferred from Ft. Hood, Texas, to Munich.
* Attended 8th, 9th and 10th grades at MAHS. In 1966, my freshman year, my favorite subjects were English and History...with Miss Ibele and Miss Wichowski, respectively, and World Geography with Mr. Mac (MacEachren). My best friends were Wanda and Wenda Houston, Pam Ledbetter, Mary Ford, Eric Hartman, Linda Fyock, Jo Tankersly and Stephanka Serbasoff.
* Elected Sophomore Class President at Munich High School in 1967, until my dad transferred stateside at mid-term. Finished high school at Valley High School in Louisville, Kentucky. Another class of '69 MAHS alumni also transferred to Valley High School in 1968. Karen Biggs.
* Other Munich alums that came to the Ft. Knox area in 1967-68 were Barbara Dix and her family including younger sister Francie, and Jurgen (Bill) Huls. They all finished up at Ft. Knox High School, Barbara Dix would have been class of '68, Jurgen was class of '67 and Francie Dix would have been class of '71.
* I attended Western Kentucky University graduating with BA in Journalism/Mass Communications and History.
* Married Marc Repp May 29, 1970, our freshman year, while we both were attending WKU. After gradua...Expand for more
ting in 1974, we both secured jobs in Nashville, TN where we've been working in the television business for the past 34 years. We'll celebrate our 38th wedding anniversary on May 29th.
No living children, just us and our St.Bernard, Madi.
* Marc is an audio engineer for MTV Networks, and I'm a freelance Producer/Associate Director, having worked on television series/specials for many network, cable and syndicated televsion shows for the past 30 years, including, CBS, TNN, MTV, VH1, NBC, HBO, Showtime, ABC, TBS, Comedy Channel, Cinemax and PBS.
* I still continue to work as an Associate Director on the annual CMA Awards Show, and am currently the Line Producer for the new Crook & Chase Show and producer for The America's Junior Miss Pageant, in Mobile, Alabama each June.
* The genealogy bug has bitten me recently, and I'm spending a lot of time researching our family trees/history, and trying to find old classmates and friends that meant so much to me in my youth.
My Munich years were some of my most memorable, and each time I connect with alumni, reliving those years bring back those sweet memories.
Having just found out about this website in the past year, I look forward to hearing from Munich alums and hopefully, will make one of the reunions.
Best,
Pamela Phillips Repp
