Life Quite a few changes....no longer shy and voted Republican!! Do all class hippies evolve into Republicans?? My husband and I own a garden center established 1972. It's a good sized operation, with about 75 employees, an acre of greenhouses, and we love our work. We've got 5 children and 11 grandchildren. Lucky enough to do quite a bit of travelling; much of it in connection with our business. England and Wales have been favorite destinations. Our country farmhouse is about as far from Detroit's environment as possible. My visits back to the city over the past few years, during my mother's illness, were horrific. I can't imagine living there. We're not far from Madison, Wisconsin and the countryside is beautiful. I've had an hour long radio program on gardening every Saturday morning for about 4 years now. I've been fortunate to be able to have a very creative career: giving gardening lectures, writing articles, creating an exciting retail center, and meeting wonderful people.
