Phyllis's Story
Life
I graduated in the class of '59 from North Central... in the 2nd class to graduate from that school, and went through it with much reluctance, wishing that I could have continued at Shortridge, where my best friends went. I ended up becoming a psychologist, completing my Ph.D. in 1982, three children (two are twins)and one divorce later. I am now happy to be 65 years old, semi-retired, with two 10 year old grand-daughters and one grandson who are triplets and a wonderful, loving relationship with my "par am...Expand for more
our" (a term not used much anymore). We are grateful for each day as life is short and bittersweet. Who knows how long we have to see and smell and feel the sunshine and rain and air and sky? And who would have thought that the last would be the best, at least so far? I hope that whoever reads this is also able to smell the roses and not be too burdened by illness or loss or regrets or any of the sufferings that we've undoubtedly experienced in our journeys through life, teaching us an appreciation of the "now".
