Phyllis's Story

Since Shaker I spent 2 years at Smith and then transferred to Radcliffe for 3rd year Chinese. I thought that I would go into the foreign service, but hadn't fulfilled the science requirement and took the premed courses. I went to Harvard Medical School and then did an internship and residency in internal medicine at Cornell New York Hospital and a fellowship in General Internal Medicine at Mass General Hospital. telaw, III who is now doing a masters in sports psychology and a daughter, Kathryn Carr Whitelaw, after my mother, and she is a 3rd year student at Georgetown School of Medicine. After Boston City Hospital for 6 years I then returned to Mass General and worked in their Women's Health group for 12 years. I then served as Associate Dean for Student Affairs at Boston University School of Medicine for 12 years and returned to Mass General which is where I am now until I retire (As soon as the tuition bills stop).
