Life
Hello Everyone,
After growing up and attending school in Greenwood we moved to Indianapolis where I attended highschool at Manual. I attended Indiana State for two years and Indiana Central (University of Indianpolis) night school while working full-time. I met my husband Sam and married in 1965. We have three children together. We moved to Houston, Texas in 1975 where I finished my education at University of Houston. I received a B.S. in Education . I taught elementary grades first, second, and third including the gifted & talented students. A few years ago I added a Special Education endorsement and taught Special Education for six years, grades 1-5. I loved teaching and had a special fondness for my Special Education children. o have more time to spend with my grandchildren. I have two grandsons, five and three and two granddaughters, one and 6 months. I'm a Docent at the Houston Zoo and enjoy teaching the visitors about the animals there when I volunteer. I also take my grandchildren to the zoo; I think they are going to love animals as much as I do. Houston is green most of the year so I really enjoy gardening and have a Butterfly and Hummingbird Garden. My babies at home are my three cats and my Goldfish pond where I have seven fish. My husband and I recently bought an RV to travel in. There are many state parks to travel to. I've always loved being close to nature so I know I'm going to enjoy the RV. I've lived in Texas for 32 years and I love it here but Indiana will always be home!
