Phyllis's Story
Some of this will not come as any surprise to the people that know me, but I went to Phx College and after about l 1/2 years I got married. We started having a family right away and now have 8 children. I continued my education between children and got a Bach. in Elem. Ed. I did not teach right away, but waited until my last daughter was in kindergarten. I taught for 8 years and then had to go on disability.
Back to my family..I have been married to Mark for 33 years. We have 6 girls and 2 boys. Between them we now have 21 (plus 3 more on the way) grandchildren. We are now empty nesters. Our last daughter left for NAU this year. 7 of our 8 kids are married. 7 of the 8 married in the temple and are still active in our LDS church. One is still single (she is only 19)...Expand for more
. Our children have all graduated from college so far with our youngest still at NAU.
Our boys both served missions as did all of our in-law kids (including the girls). My husband and I live in Snowflake,AZ. Unfortunately for me my kids live in Ohio, Texas, Utah and Mesa. We have 1 son that still lives in Snowflake.
We live on a small (10 acre) farm because my husband loves to have farm animals around. I personally could live without them.
I love to learn so I went back to school this year. I thought I would just take some classes for fun. We have a beautiful house that we built ourselves. We both love working with wood and have even built our own cabinets. I love to have flower gardens around. That came from my mother. She loves to grow flowers even at 86.
