Phyllis's Story
Hi Everybody!
It says I should write a story, ok....I've always loved to write so here goes. Let's see, I am divorced and have 3 wonderful sons who I'm so proud of. John is 31, Anthony 28, and Michael 26. Psssst.....John and Pam (my daughter in law) recently made me a grandma to Dominick, and I'm loving it. Unfortunately, they live in Maryland so I'm a long distance grandma. But my car is set on autopilot.
I'm a secretary to an assistant principal in a high school and I just love the kids. They always make me laugh at something or other, and keep me hoppin'. I was a volunteer pre-school teacher for 10 years and also a reading tutor before I started working at my present job.
I didn't go far from good old Lindenhurst after graduation. I live in West Babylon and in the spare time I have, I love to spend time with friends and family, walking, exploring, movies, dancing, trying new things, just living life. I really enjoy upstate NY; Lake George is my fav...Expand for more
orite place. I love the natural beauty up there, browsing through antique shops and just sitting by the lake appreciating all that's there. I have to say that if it's he last thing I do, I WILL go parasailing!! I've come to the conclusion that you can't sit back and "watch"...You have to "Participate" in life to enjoy it. It took me a long while to realize that but better late than never ;) I am also a NASCAR fan. Several years ago if someone told me I'd enjoy watching a bunch of cars ride around in circles at almost 200 miles an hour I'd have said they were crazy....who knew? LOL but I promise, I don't spit or scratch my butt in public, and I'm not missing my two front teeth either, hehehehe. There really is skill and strategy involved and I have my son Anthony to thank for teaching me that.
