Leigh's Story
Still teaching English after all these years - but I also teach Drama, which is amazing! I have fun every day - we do make up, work on set pieces, do improvisations - there is always something interesting going on. I am also the director of the Children's Theatre of South Hill. I served as stage manager, asst director, general "gofer" while the founder was director, but she has finally retired and I get to run the whole show. Be careful what you wish for! Rapunzel play I liked for this year (09) and decided to write my own. Geez, like I have spare time! But I figure if I stay far enough behind and have enough people depending on me for stuff, God will not let me die and disappoint all those folks! My kids are grown so I like having plenty to keep me hopping. It's the only way to keep from becoming an old grouchy lady. I guess people who knew me as shy and quiet at Bayside might be surprised to see me now. No one I know now believes that I was a shy mouse in high school.
