Rosemarie Miller:

CLASS OF 1968
San diego, CA

Rosemarie's Story

In High School I didn't have a lot of friends. Many might remember me, if the knew John Masten. We went together all through High School. We were nominated for ASB King and Queen in our Senior Year and for Cutest Couple, of course we didn't win. But it was exciting just to be nominated with the most popular kids in our class like Pam Higgins and Pat Casey. John and I did get engaged, but we didn't get married. We just connected in the last two years and caught up on each other's lives. It was very nice to talk to someone that was so very special to me. I don't think you every forget your first Love and your Best Friend. I won a scholarship to Beauty School and started my career in Newport Beach. so I never kept in touch with anybody after I left High School. My Parents were so strict that John was my only friend. So its hard to try to get in touch with anybody because I can't remember anyone's name. I did go to the 10 and 20 year reunions. I was so disappointed when we didn't have a 40 year reunion, since my husband promoted here to San Diego as the Unit Chief for CDF for 8 years, which is now CAL FIRE. He is now retired after 32 years, but only for 6 weeks. He is still in the Fire Service with San Diego County . So I don't know what Retirem...Expand for more
ent means. We have three children: a Daughter Dina 34, a son Travis 30 and a son Justin almost 27. They are all married. Ken and I will be married 32 yeas this Sept. The math isn't working out well? I was married for four years before and Ken adopted our daughter a year after we were married. I can say I have had a wonderful marriage and our children have given us three Beautiful grandchidren. I haven't been so lucky with my health, but God has been very good to me. I have had seizures since 1986 and they just found out why, so I haven't been able to drive since I've relocated back to San Diego. This makes it really hard to make friends. Since High School I have become a more out going person. I learned that I wasn't a shy introverted person. So I spent my life doing a lot of voluntary work for Girl Scouts, Church, Blood Bank, San Diego Burn Institute and probably my most proud is my work for the California Department of Forestry Union. In high school I was a blonde. A Bottle Blonde which I found out at our 10 year reunion that a lot of people didn't know. Since they didn't know who I was. If you look me up in the Year book it's really obvious. I'm now closer to my God given color which is Auburn. I look forward to hearing from my old friends
