Susan's Story
Life
Well as most of you already know, I am still married to my high school sweet heart! Yes we have had our ups and downs but have made it through to 34 years now! We had our first son in February of 1976 on our first tour to Germany, just before our 2nd anniversay. Terry Jr. graduated with his Masters from the American Film Institute. He graduated from the University of Georgia and worked for Wayne Pearson's Hunting and Fishing program as the Editing Production Manager. It was a very exciting time as he traveled to several different countries and has wonderful photos to show and stories to tell. Our second son, born April 1979, on our first tour in Georgia is now active duty army. He decided to take after his dad. He got his E-5 and had only been in for 2 years. Our son is now serving in Iraq. And last but not least our daughter was born April, 1983 on our tour in Washington State. We were told that we could not have any more children due to medical problems on my side but God had other plans! She has decided to be a stay at home mom and is having a wonderful tim...Expand for more
e! She like her mother would like to move back to God's Country ( Washington State ). Maybe some day we will. So now I am a grandmother of 4 beautiful grands, 3 girls and 1 boy. On of the Girls is from my son Chris and his wife Lysa. I did continue with my education but have found no need for any of it at this time. I am a Legal Secretary here in Augusta and have no need for anything really except more time maybe! I work alot with exotic birds in what spare time I have and own an Umbrella Cockatoo that is very talkative. We got him when he was only 4 months old and my own children were still young, "Dillon" calls me momma. Dillon is now 14 years old and is like one of our kids. He is very jealous of the Grands!, and puts the dogs and cat in their place when ever they get too close. They have learned to keep their distance. When you have lips like a can opener you really can rule the roost. Plans for after retirement? Moving north!!! Not sure just where yet but somewhere closer to the mountains. The Smokies are beautiful but they can't take the place of the Cascades!
