Polly's Story
Life
Graduated from Springfield College in 1978 ... never went into teaching phys. ed., although I did some coaching and took a couple of sports medicine courses at UMass Medical Center in Worcester. Went to work for Digital Equipment Corporation in 1981. Digital was bought by Compaq Computer Corp. in 1998. Compaq was bought by Hewlett-Packard in 2002 and I now work for HP in Marlborough, Mass. as a Product Quality Manager. package design also in 1999. Got married in 1986 and am still happily married and living in Hudson, Mass. My husband and I spend our vacations fishing on Martha's Vineyard and our summer weekends at our cottage in New Hampshire fishing, kayaking, and visiting with family and friends in between projects. We took a 3-week trip to China in 1996 ... the first time I had returned to Hong Kong since leaving for the U.S. in 1959. I have two stepsons in their twenties.
