Polly's Story
I attended DHS from 1954-1957 while my dad attended Columbia Theological Seminary. He took a Presby. Church in the Jackson, MS area, so I graduated from Forest Hills High School in 1958 and then from Belhaven College, a Presby. school in Jackson in 1962. I taught 1st grade at P'tree Elem. in Decatur GA and then had 2 daughters before going back to work in the insurance field. Unfortunately I became totally disabled with CFS and its accompanying depression at age 51 and have remained disabled ever since. My wonderful husband, Bill Woods, takes excellent care of me. uzzling, camping in our travel trailer. and living in the beautiful NE Ga foothills of the Smoky Mtns. We moved here in 2000. We spend a lot of time in our park model RV at Leisure Acres Campground in Cleveland, GA. At both homes we feed the birds and enjoy watching them and the other "critters" who visit our properties. I also spend a lot of time playing computer games. Between us, we have 10 beloved grandchildren ranging in age from 2-22 years old. Bill has his 1st great-grandchild, born in October, 2009. I have fond memories of many of you at DHS and will try to make it to the January get-together. Really hope to see a lot of you then. Until then, I hope to hear from you.
