David's Story
Life
When I left High School I went in the Coast Guard. Two and half years on an icebreaker and year and a half on search and rescue. It was not a bad as it may sound. The winter on the icebreaker was a bit rough and could get pretty cold. The summers though we would escort the yacht races from Detroit MI to Chicago. One-way the first year and then back the next. While performing the escort there would be entertainers onboard. One year they had a famous drummer named Buddy Rich. He was really good.
The search and rescue was not so bad ether. It was more like a job then being in service. You could leave the base at night and go to your apartment and you were on your own time. Except every fourth day you were scheduled for duty for twenty-four hours.
When I left the service I came back to Denver. Where I met my wife Mary. We have been married for thirty years now. We have two girls. The oldest is Dottie and she has given us two grand children. Two girls one 10 years old and the second is almost 5. We also have a younger daughter that is you might say is trying to find herself. (See pictures)

I got out of the service. I worked in a tire shop for two years. It did not take long to know that was not what I wanted to do with my life. I went to collage and got a degree in digital electronics. I eventually ended up in the computer field where I am now. My career has been fairly good for me except for the DOT COM disaster. It almost ruined my career. I am still not back making the kind of money I was just before the bust but I keep getting closer.
I now live just south east of Denver in a little equestrian community. I donÂt have any horses yet but I am doing my homework and I hope to have one or two by the end of next year. That is if things settle down a little more at work or I will not have the time for a horse.
I have also taken up scuba diving. My best dive was off the cost of Hawaii on a night dive with manta rays. A two thousand pound animal swimming over your head eating something that you can hardly see is a phenomenal experience. I am now saving up for a trip to Fiji. Hopefully by the end of 2007 I will be able to make the trip.
Well I guess that is about it, at least for now.
