Presley Shofner:  

Life I was a graduate in the class of 1960 and moved from the valley in June of that year to Odessa Texas where I went to Odessa Jr College for one year. At that time I moved to Lubbock Texas(where I was born)and attended Texas Tech University through 1964. In 1966 I started my own business, Shofner Insurance ( a full service agency including Fire and Casualty). I married a local girl, Charlene and we have two sons, Bryan and Shawn. Both have attended Texas Tech and both are now married and have children. I have three grandsons, Taylor is 16, Landon is 11,and Parker is 6. Two grand daughters Aubrey is 3, and Addie is 1 year old. Bryan has been in the agency with me now for 22 years and is quite active in the business. He has gone through the chairs of the local association and served three years on the State Board of the Independent Agents of Texas. He is now the new Vice President of the State association and also serves on the financial advisary committee of our local Congressman, Randy Naugebauer. My other son Shawn has been in his own business, sold out and now works for a local nursery and retail business as one of their managers. My wife Charlene has been in the Real Estate Business, Served as the President of the Womens Chamber of Commerce, and as President of the Lubbock Country Club Womens Golf Association.
