Janine's Story
I have lived in Cody, WY for the last 20 years-only 50 miles from Yellowstone Park! Love the land-hate the politics…
I am happily married to a great guy! I have two fantastic kids, and two perfect grandchildren with another set to arrive any minute. I love being a grandma and wish we all lived closer together.
I worked as a paralegal for many years in California. After moving to Cody I was done with “law” and worked different positions, such as assistant to the Deputy Director at the Buffalo Bill Historical Center and manager of the local animal shelter (no-kill). Wrapped up my working life at Western Area Power Administration and now loving retirement.
At one point we had 4 horses, 2 dogs and 9 cats, but as the years passed some died and the horses were given away. I keep up with the new owner of “Inky”, a registered English Shire. They are bigger tha...Expand for more
n Clydesdales and he was my baby. We only have 3 kitties now.
Yellowstone Harmony Chorus, Master Gardeners and Wyoming Rising kept me pretty busy during my working life here in Cody, but I have retired from those groups as well.
My husband built me a raised bed garden and I grow stuff, mostly to make salsa! I love sitting in my garden with a cat purring on the bench next to me.
As “the baby” in the family, I am the only child left of five-my parents have passed also.
Thus far, my life has been mostly good and I am happy. I still love to read, but have never written “my book”. I divorced but ended up with 2 wonderful children. I made it through the Trump years without being killed or killing anyone.
My favorite teacher was Peter Pinto and I loved our librarian, Mrs. Keatinge.
I wish my former classmates all the best and hope you are all doing well.
