Quinton's Story
Life
What's up? I have a pretty good life. Places I've lived: GA (of course), NY, NJ, PA, MD, VA and...yup...Japan. Keep in touch! I now live in the 'burbs of Maryland
School
Mr. Childress was my biggest inspiration. Thanks, man, for teaching me that life presents you with limitless challenges and opportunities. I instill that message to my kids every day!
College
Post Graduate Level-Georgia State MA-Clinical Psychology; M. Ed Early Childhood Education University/Mansfield University/University Of Virginia
I always wanted to be a movie director when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a wonderful idea. As it turns out, they were wrong because I never pursued it.
Journal, read a book on my back deck or play with my pets (two cats and a dog).
If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have Starbucks java, restful sleep, and and a pre-plan to be able to deal with the day-to-day.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Irvin Tucker, because even though we came from totally polarized backgrounds, he was just a nice guy..
I have an eclectic music taste. I am obsessd with my mp3 player!
If I could improve my home, I'd remodel by painting and laying bella wood flooring throughout and add on a outdoor above ground stone 7-13 seater spa tub. . My dream home would be to live in London or Amsterdam.
If I won $100 million, I'd give 100% of it to me, then spend the rest on me, my pets and me.
Never was into the Greek life. I always viewed them as stifling, boring, and mundane (sorry, but you want honesty, right?).
My current age is 40. That feels so good to say. Hey I embrace my 40's with open arms! . When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be old, decrepit, and smelly (like moth balls or so...Expand for more
mething). I was so completely stupid back then.
Early retirement and opening up a lemonade stand in Bahrain (little or no brain activity required..no more intellectualizations and pontifications with superficial colleagues)
My best friend would tell you I'm metrosexual, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as hard and bone thug (just kidding). I don't really know how to answer that one because I've never really given it much thought. I guess most people would say I'm just a nice guy who never sets out to intentially hurt or judge anyone. In truth, I get irritated very easily, I just don't show it.
Nah..I am a bargain shopper so I change my wardrobe about every 2 to 3 years. I am not stuck in a time capsule!
I share my home with my recently divorced roommate, which I find awesome because I have a lot more discretionary income. I am doing a lot more saving these days, by the way.
Are you kidding? Do people still do that?
In 10 years, I hope to be 10 years closer to retirement. I'm going to get there by working during those 10 years.
Angela Davis. We met in graduate school and were both going through terrible break-ups. We clicked because we were in the minority group that felt that Bush was a total idiot. I am sad, though, because she now lives in Korea. (Update: 5/23-Angela's moving back to the US..but I may be leaving the US if I get hired by the Department of Defense Schools).
My first job was at the now demolished Atlanta Fulton County Stadium, where I got paid commission to sell popcorn and cokes. What I remember most about it is the Atlanta Braves sucked at that time! .
I can't tell you because it involves the back seat of a buick. I will tell you that I was teenager in high school at the time.
