R Butler:

CLASS OF 1988
Baltimore, MD

R's Story

There's not too much to say. I graduated from NHS and went to University of Maryland Baltimore County where I got my Bachelor's degree in Sociology and Social Welfare. I then worked for a few companies as a Care Manager and a Case Manager for Baltimore City. I later moved to Delaware and now work as a Senior Social Worker here in this boring old state. But being here in Delaware has it's advantages. It is very peaceful here and there are a lot of activities for children to participate in. If I get too bored, I travel up to Jersey, Philly and of course, there's no place like home. I have a 13 year old son, who is 6'1" and likes to brag about how he is now taller than me. I have to remind him that even though he is talle...Expand for more
r than me (5'10"), I can still take him down. My son keeps me extremely busy, he is heavy into sports. I am constantly running back and forth from state to state or all over the place in DE, watching my kid, play football. He also participates in track and field, so I am once again running all over the place. My son and I work out together. We lift weights, cycle, walk and run. Basically, I spend a lot of time with my son, family and friends. I am currently back in school working on a Master's in Special Education (I am tired of the Social Work field). I have one class left and will be graduating with a master's plus 30. I still keep in touch and hang out with my close friends from NHS- they are like my second family.
