Rachel's Story
Hi kids,
Hope all of you are doing well. I have been living in Las Vegas, Nevada since April 1991. I am an administrative assistant for an association management (HOA) company since May 2005. My parents are both deceased (from Lung Cancer, mom also had Dementia) and I never married nor had any children which was my choice. My brothers NEVER took care of my parents, they commited credit card fraud and elder abuse. It was really rough, but I did give my mother a great quality of life the last 5 years of her life. My parents spirits are always with me and are there for me in times of need. I love traveling and have been on 4 cruises and visited 8 islands (Puerto Rico is my favorite, been there 3 times) and 2 countries, Mexico and Canada. sistant. My favorite was at the Desert Inn Hotel & Casino in which I was Executive Assistant to the CFO. That was a blast and the best co workers ever, but the Desert Inn is no more. I have seen many changes here in Las Vegas, some good and some bad. The weather is really nice in December and January, we do get cold here and every few years, snow falls in the valley. Oh and it gets to 70 degress in February, BUT the summers are roughly 110 - 120 degrees. I was on the campaign committee for Carolyn Goodman who is now the Mayor of Las Vegas! I enjoyed putting together the 35th, 40th reunions and 60th birthday celebration, but I am no longer facilitating any future reunions.
