Rachel's Story
I attended Lorena St. School, Stevenson Jr. High, and high school I was all over the place: Roosevelt (for a day), Garfield (for a day), Jefferson High in Central L.A., Lincoln High (in San Jose, CA), Central High (continuation), back to Jefferson, and Wilson High. Had my first baby in 1986, my second in 1989, somewhere in there I got married, then divorced in 1989. Moved to Ventura, CA in 1991. Had Number 3 in 1992, Number 4 in 1994, and Number 5 in 1996. Married second husband in 1992 -We were divorced in 2002. The eleven years that I was with my second husband I was a stay at home mom and helped my x-husband with his construction business.
Since my divorce...I was a paraeducator. I am currently a behavior therapist with a local company that provides services to children with autism and their families. I am having a blast getting to know the kids that I work with and their families. I am learning so much.
I love...Expand for more
to read, watch T.V. and sleep. I read fiction, not any one genre. I watch cop shows, doctor shows, and TMC (old movies): Monk, House, NCIS, CSI (all of them), Law and Order (all of them). I read the Odyssey last summer. I loved Like Water for Cholocate and The Things They Carried. Authors? Who knows...I rarely remember their names.
No do-overs...I dig my Kids and the great people they are becoming. Atleast one of them impresses me or in the very least makes me smile everyday. It doesn't get any better than that.
I think of so many of you that I went to school with so often and would love it if some of you would get in touch and let me know how you are and what you have been up to.
A quick P.S.
If anyone from Lorena knows what happened to Miss Digregorio, I sure would like to hear from you.
That's my story. Not too interesting, but I have enjoyed my life till now and I can't wait to see what's to come
