Life After graduating from Union High School in 1980 I attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University earning a Bachelor of Arts in Music, a Bachelor of Music Education and 40 hours towards a Masters degree in music. While working on my masters I was a graduate assistant and taught piano class and applied piano. Prior to attending school at Union I attended Anadarko Jr High and 2 years at Andarko High School. (I am originally from Tulsa but my dad was transfered to a PSO power plant down by Anadarko for about 5 years) Following all of that education I taught music and band for ten years in Arizona at Kayenta Intermediate School before becoming a firefighter. During my time in Kayenta I competed with Northeastern Az Weightlifting team. Hopefully I will come across a few former weightlifters here too! I joined the Kayenta Volunteer Fire Department and decided that I wanted to be a firefighter. I have been a firefighter for the City of Tulsa for 10 yrs now, since August 1998. I have worked on the west side at station 12, out by the airport at station 31, out north at station 19 and I am currently stationed at station 2 on the NW side of downtown Tulsa, 524 W Edison which is next to Owen Park.
