Ralph's Story
Life
I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to become a skilled tradesman in the machine tool industry. I obtained Journeyman Status in 1977 and worked as a Toolroom Boringmill Operator until I retired in 2005.
The greatest joys of my life were the births of my two children: Janinne Marie born in 1967 and Vincent Ralph born in 1969. They were all I could ask for in children. We sent our children to a Catholic parochial school. Where I became involved with the PTA, serving a term as President. I also was chairman of the bingo committee and finally President of the Parish Council. When you serve others you get more out of it than you give.
In 1978 I was invited to go on a retreat...Expand for more
at Sacred Heart Seminary. The weekend was called a ÂCursillo which in Spanish means "short course", or a short course in Christianity. The weekend experience was one I will never forget and I later served on teams of men that put on retreats at the Seminary and also teams of men and women who put on retreats at Huron Valley women¿s prison and at Milan Federal prison.
In 1996 I remarried a great lady named Ann. She has been a blessing in my life. We married on the island of St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands. This marriage gave me three more great kids that I have grown to love as much as my own. The combined family has give Ann and I 18 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
