Ralph's Story
Life
After graduation I attended Salt Lake Trade Tech for a year before being drafted. I married my wife Sherry Barker, Granger class of 1967 on May 12, 1967. After a year serving in Vinh Long, Vietnam I returned and we lived in Granger for the next 6 years. We built a home and moved to West Jordan in 1974. In 1993, we built another home and moved 3 blocks north of our old home where we reside today. We remodeled about 5 years ago.
We had 5 children, Jennifer born in 1970,(3 children) Jeremy 1971 (2 children) Wendy 1975 (3 children) Casey 1976 (3 children) Lance 1980 (died at age 6 months from SIDS) 12 grandchildren.

et together with them a couple of times a year. I enjoy wave running, camping and ATV's. I had 2 knee surgeries and then I had a total knee replacement in 1999. Other than that, I have no health problems. I look forward to being able to retire.
I enjoy volunteering a few hours a week as a maintenance engineer at the Oquirrh Mountain Temple. I served as Bishop from 1998 to 2003 in the LDS Jordan Oaks 1st Ward.
We enjoy traveling when we can and have enjoyed a cruise to the Caribbean and another one to Hawaii and would like to go to Alaska.
Workplace
I have worked as an electrician for various companies over the years. I currently own my own Electrical Contracting Company, BEMCO Inc.
