Ralph's Story
Life
After graduating in 1969 I continued to work at the Fort Belvoir Gas Station until Jan 1970. I then joined the Air Force and was trained as an aircraft mechanic. I worked on aircraft for 14 years, 10 of those years I was stationed at Andrews AFB, Md. and was a crew chief on one of the VC-9Cs(DC-9) which the Vice President, First Lady and other white house officials flew on. I then spent 6 years at March AFB, CA with the KC-10 program where I maintained aircraft maintenance histories. I spent my last two years at Grand Forks AFB, ND where I was assistant NCOIC of the B1-B tool crib. After I retired in 1992 at the rank of Master Sargent, I moved back to the Northern VA area and rekindled an old romance, found a job with the DC Transit Authority
working on the Metro-Rail Trains. After 5&1/2 years there I decided to go full time into my part time AMSOIL business. My business has continued to grow and I tr...Expand for more
avel to trade shows, car shows and motorcycle rallies up and down the east cost to spread the word about the AMSOIL products and help people start their own AMSOIL business. In 2001 I decided to take on a part time job as a substitute school bus driver for Fauquier County. After subing for two years I decided to take a regular route driving Special Ed students. I never thought I would really like driving a school bus but I do most days. Driving the school bus still allows me to pursue my AMSOIL business. I have a couple of hobbies one is motorcycling I have accrued over 300,000 on BMW motorcycles and pushing towards 100,00 miles on a 1992 Goldwing 1500 SE. My other hobby is flying remote control airplanes which I started about 20 years ago. Over the years I moved up from just boring holes in the sky to flying scale aireobatics with a 25% and 35% scale models of an Extra 300 with 50cc and 100cc gas engines.
