After High School, I went into the Army and to Germany. Served with the 2nd ACR on the border and also with the 8th Inf. Div. as a tank crewman. When my Dad passed, I went back into the Army to get myself together.I served with the 1/58th Inf. at Ft. Benning Ga. Left the Army and went to work for the Phenix City P.D.in Alabama. I got tired of arresting drunks all of the time and re-entered the Army for the last time. I got crazy and thought I wanted to be a Green Beret, still had the John Wayne attitude,and signed up for the SF course. Landed hard on a parachute landing and banged my knee`s up pretty good. When I found out it could take more than a year to completely heal, I asked to be re-assigned. I ended up at Ft. Devens as a combat engineer. I left the Army in 1987 for the last time and went to work for a P.D. in Florida. Left the dept., due a corrupt man in charge,(for safety reasons), We went to the FBI about it. Nothing could be done. Insufficent evidence to bring charges. Airplanes were landing at a certain airport in the area with no lights on,,,if you know what I mean? Moved my family and I out to Cars...Expand for more
