Ralph's Story
Actually, except for the part when my bride passed away it's been a pretty remarkable 40 years. Did 20 years in the Navy and reserves. Twenty-five years writing software for DOD I retired from both of those and have spent the last 8 years playing golf (poorly).
Sharon and I had one son. He's now an emergency room doctor in Durham N.C. He graduated top of his high school class, w/honors from UVA and was top 2% nationally when he took his MCATS. Best of all he's a great guy. Good sense of humor. Great wit and good mind. I just love him and am so proud.

9. That's an ugly ugly disease but she handled it with such grace. She was quite the remarkable woman and is still missed.
Since she's been gone I've learned so much. You have to buy underwear, it doesn't just show up in the drawer. Toilet paper runs out. (who knew?) and dating just plain sux.
You might be interested to know that everyone on Sharon's fathers side of the family dies on the 10th of the month. No kidding. She, her sister, her father and all of her aunts and uncles have done so. Apparently that goes back quite a long way. Weird!
Hope to see you all at the reunion at the end of October.
Steve
