Life
It took me about 235 quarter hours to graduate from the UofU with a business degree. I enjoyed it so much and it was so inexpensive then, I took way too many classes. Also between the time I started at the U in 1960 and the time I graduated in 1969, I took time out for service in the Army and to compete in the 1968 Olympic Winter Games in Grenoble in the biathlon event. I stayed with UPI for 21 years until its financial troubles began taking the company down and then I went to work for a daily newspaper for the next 11 years, covering national defense issues and state government. I finally gave up the news businesses three years ago and have since been working part-time with health care providers to help them understand new federal regulations and help them enact state legislation. I plan to retire completely in another couple of years and spend my time traveling, skiing, golfing and fishing.
