Ramona's Story

After Gar-Field High School, Ramona earned her degree in Education from George Mason University then later took grad courses at Marymount University. She founded Creative Dance Center and built it to four locations in Ashburn, Chantilly and South Riding Virginia. CDC's award winning Competition Team, All Stars and Performing Troupe have grown to 360 dedicated dancers who collaborate each year to raise funds through dance for local charities. een married to Scott Batchelder since 1978. They have lived in Ashburn for over 25 years and have 2 sons. Robbie, 29, earned his Masters from the Univ of MD in Realestate Development and is an entrepreneur working with investment projects. Hunter, 22, recently graduated from the University of Toronto and is working on his PhD at Johns Hopkins in Biological Chemistry. Ramona still loves tennis and plays USTA competitive matches with friends whenever she can!

While Robbie and Lorena are visiting her family in Colombia, we have stepped in as proud grandparents to Koko and Paolo - he's the guy on the left - he was adopted after being abandoned at doggie daycare for 10 months. He'
Oliver, also an orphan, has learned to live in high places to stay away from Paolo - including the top of the bird cage and the top of cabinets!

The end of a great fishing trip to Pirates Cove, NC. 80 pounds of Mahi Mahi, a Blue and a white Marlin (catch and release) - Scott's dream day come true!
First dinner party at Hunter's new apartment - and he cooked the 40 cloves of garlic chicken! It's taken a lot of planning and work to find it, move in and set up, but a fun adventure for his first real place of his own.
But this was the last straw - he destroyed my day timer - my Bible! Everyone who knows me knows I have to have it with me. It's shredded. What will I do?? Time for his parents to come home!!
