Randal's Story

Left for the Air Force 6 days after graduation, served 4 years 1 in Thailand and 1 in Danang Vietnam. I have moved back to Myrtle OR by way of a few other places and I was a truck driver along with a few other things, also a test dummy for alcahol for about 15 years, and was agreat success as a dummy when mixed with booze of any kind. Sober for 28 years and am happily married to my wife for 24 years. I am retired and on VA medical disability for agent orange and related stuff. I am glad I served my country but wish I wasn't so messed up. I love living in the small town I was born in even though the hospital is now a care center. family,,grandkids and kids of course my wife Gloria is the top of that list. I also enjoy the outdoors very much, sightseeing, and watching wildlife. I also like to listen to music classical, Classic country, 40's 50's and 60's southern gospel and almost any instrumental music. I also like to do wood work and spend quiet time outdoors with my dog or alone. Since I have been sober am not a partier but enjoy getting together with friends. One of the things I regret is not staying in touch with friends and classmates from Portland. I have moved around but never back to Portland area. My brothers an sisters all live in the Portland area, but I guess I am still just a country boy.
