Randy's Story
The Story...
Married with children...his, hers and ours...a total of four. Married since 1992, a second marriage for each of us. It will be 18 years for Rebecca and I next month (Jul2010). Stepkids Mario and Monica, now 24 and 23, and my daughter Tawna, 23, are the older ones. They're all still single...though Monica is engaged. No grandkids yet. The youngest, ours, and only one left at home is Nicole..."Niki"...who is 12.
Lived in Rancho Cucamonga for ten years, and moved to Fontana six years ago. Still in Fontana, and working as a Project Engineer at a company in Rancho that makes helmets and respiratory gear for military pilots and aircrew.
Was involved with the Boy Scouts while Mario advanced to Eagle Scout. AYSO and club, I've been coaching girl's soccer since the early-90's. The older girls played for many years; and I've been coaching Niki since she ...Expand for more
was 4...AYSO, then club...but going back to AYSO this fall to keep our soccer local, and give us all a rest. Loved the travel and the weekend tournaments of club soccer...hanging out at hotels, beaches, soccer fields and restaurants with all our soccer friends and all the kids...but the busy schedule left little time for the other things we like to do.
We enjoy hanging out with family, RV camping in the Sierras and the dunes, and riding ATVs. We make an occasional trip up or down the coast; and Niki and I enjoy roughing it on 4WD trips across the Mojave desert. Rebecca prefers a flush toilet, a shower and a mattress...and leaves the tent stuff to me and Nik.
I did an overnight to-the-bottom-and-back-out Grand Canyon hike a couple of years ago...and walked like a tard for several days afterwards because my calves wouldn't work. Next time I'll ride a donkey...
