Randall's Story
Life
I am a perpetual student but I have also worked extensively as a teacher and a librarian. I have a life long fascination for history, and this has particularly focused on Jewish Studies. I have one teen-age son named Aaron, and I am married to an English-borne lassy named Hannah Miryam. I run the American Sephardi Federation Library as part of the Center for Jewish History in New York City.
College
I am a perpetual student, and I have studied all over the world. I have a life long fascination for history, and this has particularly focused on Jewish Studies. This focus has led to my earning a BA in Medieval History, an MA in Middle East Studies (with emphasis on Hebrew and Archaeology), an MA in Ancient Judaism and an MLS (wherein I focused on a Jew...Expand for more
ish ancestor named Isaac Cohen Belinfante). I also studied Special Education and earned an MS just for practical satisfaction.
Workplace
As I have stated elsewhere, I am a perpetual student, but I have also worked extensively as a teacher and a librarian. I love kids and I worked for seven years at a Planetarium in Salt Lake City (as a Lecturer and Librarian) and then worked for eight years as a Special Education Teacher around the Salt Lake Valley. I then moved to New York where I worked for five years at the Jewish Theological Seminary as a cataloger, and then went on to establish a new library from scratch at the American Sephardi Federation. I work there now doing all sorts of things, including cataloging, archiving and public relations for the library.
