Randall's Story
After graduation I spent nearly 8 years in the U.S. Air Force. I spent 3 months for training as a Weather Observer at Chanute AFB in Rantoul Illinois, then was stationed at Ft. Rucker in southeastern Alabama for two years supporting the U.S. Army's Helicopter Pilot School. I then spent 2 years at RAF Alconbury in England. After my tour in England, I attended Weather Technician (Forecaster) training (at Chanute AFB again) before being sent back down to Ft. Rucker.

s for a year then returned home to Milan.
I spent about 4 years living in Milan, then moved to central Iowa working for Berry Plastics. That lasted a year. Winter there really sucks! Example: the one winter I managed there, one storm system dropped the nighttime low temps to -35F and daytime highs of below zero for over a week straight. Enough of that!
Moved to western Maryland, where I still live today. I did take a couple detours along the way. One to Baltimore for 3 months and one to Phoenix AZ for 9 months. During my stay in Maryland I was blessed with a son, who is now 2.
