Life Though my first name has been changed, everyone sometime back when knew me by my middle name, Allen... After being moved from Buckner Children's Home in SE Dallas, I started out at Garland High School for a year or so, but circumstances uprooted me, putting me in for a short blip at R.L. Turner in Farmers Branch (NW Dallas), then dropped me off in Christ's Haven's Children's Home in Keller (though only there for 3 & 1/2 years, I consider it my childhood home) to finish the last three years at Keller High School. I graduated, of course, then continued with college for about a year in Arlington, until a fateful event nearly extinguished my life and forever changed it. On March 24th, 1989, six days after my 20th birthday, I was impacted by a large step-side catering truck at approximately 55 mph from behind while I was riding a bicycle. Though there was no spinal injury by the Grace of God, I had suffered severe closed head trauma resulting in epidural/subdural hematoma (severe hemorraging & damage at the surface and inner depth of the brain.) During the Care Flight, my heart ceased from the neurological trauma, but as the EMT's responded, my heart slowly came back. At the hospital, they performed a craniotomy (just to relieve the pressure & bleeding, and perform any minor repairs they could), and just waited.
