Randie's Story
After high school I was Miss Alaska 1974.
Then in 1976 I moved to Utah and married. I had 3 children, 2 boys and a girl but am now divorced. I earned a cosmotology degree in Utah and became a USSSA umpire. Moved to Oregon in 1990. Umpired the Women's A USSSA World Series in Garland, Tx. getting to do the championship game at 1st base. Played USSSA for 25 years playing every position on the field including pitching, coaching upper level coed softball and winning numerous golden glove awards as well as state championships. Became a Paramedic/Firefighter, did that for 10 years being certified in ACLS, PHTLS, PALS, BLS and multiple other certifications for prehospital health care. Was a certified CPR instructor and taught that for 10 years. Worked as an Emergency Room tech, Triage, Med/surg clerk, Doctors assistant in Radiation Oncology, with Psych patients, worked for Urologists, and now am a certified CPT/ICD9/HCPCC coder for a hospital in Oregon. horses, work with junior young riders with the Oregon Dressage Society putting on horse shows and my daughter teaches dressage (she is trained through 3rd level and rides VERY well) and aspires to ride higher levels as well as jump. My oldest son (32) is a military master at arms (Navy cop) and is serving in Baghdad with a Seals group. He has 4 children (2 girls, 2 boys) and lives in Virginia. My second son (30) has 2 daughters, was Honda's Walkabout USA Salesman of the Year 4 years ago, is a Sales/Finance Manager for a large dealership in Florida. My boys both married wonderful women that are exactly like their mom and they both have accomplished much in their lives!
I love horses and feel most at home at a barn or horse shows, dressage, golf, softball, deer/elk hunting, the Black Hills of South Dakota, helping people, being fair, being honest and giving everyone a 2nd chance. And I'm totally into loving God! I've been very blessed.
Guess I'm not just a "rah rah" girl anymore but hey, GO BARTLETT.....
