Life Randy began his career in Real Estate in 1971. His incredible climb to the top is certainly unique - a self-made millionaire at age 29. He was the man to watch and follow if you were lucky! He opened the first Century 21 office in Orange County, California and it was the first of 10,000 offices opened in the United States. His top producing office was consistently ranked in the top two offices in the nation. He didn't start out by selling homes like everyone else. He jumped feet first to put commercial real estate for his franchise on the map. Surpassing renowned sales trainers like Tommy Hopkins got him worldwide recognition without that as his goal at all. He was focused on real estate, not even aware of his record-breaking success. In 1972 his focus went to syndications and dealing with institutional investors. By 1984 Randy either solely owned or was the General Partner for 100 million dollars worth of real estate in California, Utah, Arizona and Texas. Because of the complexity of owning and managing multi-family residential real estate he opened Shelter Management Company in Irvine, CA. with a branch office in Texas, to personally manage this challenging portfolio.
