Randy's Story
Randy is originally from Phoenix, Arizona, but landed in San Jose in time to go to Los Alamitos when it opened (temporarily went to Simonds before that). He left with his family back to Arizona for a couple years and returned to go to Pioneer High School in San Jose.
Legend has it Randy is not his real name.
Randy likes all kinds of stuff, but most especially he likes his family and his current job, which is teaching high school at the unfortunately named Analy High School in Sebastopol, California. He teaches video and filmmaking to teenagers and he's pretty happy with it. His big hobby right now is amateur radio, and he holds an Amateur Extra license. He's pretty happy with that too.
Music choices are tough, but Randy enjoys The Seatbelts (Cowboy Bebop OST), lots of 90's grunge and alternative bands, and classic rock. Randy now appreciates Metallica and Iro...Expand for more
n Maiden in ways he wasn't capable of understanding in his teenage years. Ditto the Grateful Dead, but for medicinal purposes only, mind you.
Movies are always fun, seeing that he likes to make them himself. Still a sucker for Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy, he absolutely hates what Jackson did to The Hobbit. Most anything done by Stanley Kubrick, Wes Anderson, Ridley Scott, and thinks the non-Batman Christopher Nolan films are pretty amazing, all told (nothing personal about The Dark Knight series, he just doesn't make a point of watching them very often). He loves to hate Disney, but he also subscribes to Disney+ and can't seem to walk away from Star Wars and Marvel content.
When he grows up, Randy wants to be remembered as a good person who cared about others, admitted when he did wrong and tried to make amends, and who loved his family very much.
