Randolph's Story
After leaving Mt. Carmel, I attended L.A. Southwest College majoring in Math. While during my 2nd semester, they announced people with weird majors like Math, Chemistry, Biology, etc. could apply for a summer job with Aerospace Corp. I applied for a computer operator trainee and got it. 50 years later, I retired from Information Technology and what a ride. As a Director of IT, I had various responsibilities in just about all elements of IT. I had the opportunity to work for some very special organizations (DOD, ITT, Duke, UNC…) and in some very special places (Japan, Spain, UAE…) and met wife to be in the UAE. est is in the Army station at Ft. Myer in DC and the younger is near graduation in Engineering at Missouri University of Science and Technology (MST).
I retired in 2018 and we moved to Mexico. I know my profile says Ohio because they didn’t have a foreign country location. We initially moved to Lake Chapala, 30 minutes south of Guadalajara but are in the process of moving to a house we purchased in the beach town of Cuyutlan, Colima. Cuyutlan is about 20 minutes south of Manzanillo and is actually considered a pueblo. It’s very small, how small is it? It’s so small we don’t have a signal or gas station! The life style in Mexico suits us perfect and we sure do love our tacos…
