Randy's Story
What's up Cougars!!!
How's everyone doing? I've run into a few of you over the years, nice to see old friends and faces.
I'm supposed to tell a short story about myself starting the first week of June in '78.
I joined the U.S. Marine Corps before I graduated and left for San Diego at the end of the summer. Spent the next four years traveling to distant places, Okinawa, Korea, and ended back in So. Cal at Camp Pendleton Marine Base. Bought a harley before I got out, and when they discharged me I rode it up to the So. Oregon coast where my family had moved a couple years before. Nice place to live, hard place to make a living. I heard about the texas oil boom so I sold my bike (note to self: never sell your harley), and moved to Dallas to find work and make a living. I lived there for five years and decided it was to flat, hot, and humid for me so I moved back to Idaho in May of '89.
I met a real nice girl na...Expand for more
med Sharon who had two wonderful kids from a previous marriage, we started dating and then got married in Jackson, WY. Our kids Jeff and Melissa are all grown now, Melissa got married and had a girl and boy (grandkids to us) and jeff is still single at the moment. Both have good jobs and are doing well.
My wife has been at the same insurance company in downtown Boise for almost 20 years. I worked the construction market for a few years and then went to work for CableOne in Boise (they were TCI cablevision back then in '96). I left a year and a half ago and am now working for Electrical Wholesale Supply Co. No more tool belt.
My wife and I enjoy going camping and fishing. I recently bought an old harley and restored it to almost show quality. When I'm not riding my bike, I like to fish and hunt and go whitewater-rafting.
Well that is it in a nut shell,
I will try to make it to the reunion.
As Always
Randy
