Randy's Story

Bio-Rev RW Sawyer 10315 Vidaurri Lane Dutton VA 23050 Rev Sawyer recently moved back to his farm in Virginia and is looking for Ministry opportunities. Rev Sawyer until recently taught two classes at Bradshaw Prison Henderson TX. These classes are titled, "Understanding Prayer" and "Intercessory Prayer" each is 5 hour per week for fourteen weeks, this is a continual commitment. Rev Sawyer speaks at various churches when ask and host two bible fellowship groups. In 2005, Mr. Sawyer was Ordained a Minister and served Crossroads Ministry in Topping Virginia as a prison and outreach minister. Mr. Sawyer when in Virginia was a member of the South Eastern United Methodist “ Board of Church and Society”, a board member of Offenders Regeneration Ministry Council of Richmond, Chaplain for Second Chance Prison Ministries, a Sunday night teacher for South Eastern Correctional Ministries in the Gloucester County Jail and Executive Director/Founder of Matthew 25 Ministries inc. a 501c3 corporation assisting inmates returning to society after incarceration.. Rev Sawyer is non-denominational and teaches the Bible as directed by the Holy Spirit. He was raised in the Baptist Church and has deep roots in both the Methodist and Baptist denominations. From 1982 until present he has functioned within the church at all levels of involvement including: pastor, assistant pastor, youth pastor, royal ranger commander, deacon, Sunday school teacher, church board member, pastor’s council and personal friend and counselor to 3 different pastors. In May of 1985 Mr. Sawyer made a quality commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and began to serve Him in all aspects of his life, he over a year in training under, Kenneth Copeland Ministries in Fort Worth Texas and developed his faith with additional in depth focus on the teachings of the following Ministries...Expand for more
: Billy Graham, Kenneth Hagin, Norvel Hayes, Charles Capps, Ed Cole, Perry Stone, Robert Tilton, James Robinson, Dave Roberson, Lester Summerall, Pat Robertson, Jonathan Cahn and John Jimminez. Mr. Sawyer Has owned his own small business and is now retired and serves the Lord. In 2003 Mr. Sawyer retired from Departmant of Defense where he functioned as an environmental engineer with over site responsibilities for Installation Restoration of five naval installations in the Norfolk VA and Tidewater area; he maintained open communications and reported to the Commanding Officers and senior management personnel. Mr. Sawyer was chosen as a Federal Energy Management Program (FEMP) and, Department of Energy (DOE) “Visionary for the Year” for FY 2000″ nationwide. As Environmental Training Coordinator for Naval Weapons Station Yorktown and Cheatham Annex VA, Mr. Sawyer managed records and trained all station personnel, both civilian and military to ensured Federal, State and Local Environmental training compliance. Later Mr. Sawyer functioned as a consultant for the US Navy under the following disciplines: Long Range Maintenance Planning, Employment of Persons with Disability (EPDP), energy conservation, hazardous waste disposal, hazardous waste emergency response, lead and asbestos abatement, telephone installation for new construction, solid waste disposal, environmental partnering between Navy, state and EPA, as well as Y2K compliance and other troubled spots within the Naval Atlantic Command. Mr. Sawyer also has in-depth experience within the Department of Defense Arena as a GS-12. Prior to Mr. Sawyers Civil Service commitment, he served as an officer for Pat Robertson’s Political Campaign in Chesapeake VA and employee of the Christian Broadcasting Network. Before 1984 he worked in the Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma oil fields.
