Jane's Story
To begin the concept that it has been forty years since high school is overwhelming to say the least.
Following Mission Viejo, I spent a year at Tufts University outside Boston then transferred to Stanford. A teaching credential followed, and I have been in the classroom ever since! Initially my passion was working with young children (preschool/kindergarten). My rule for years was not to teach anyone who was taller than I was! That "rule" has been abandoned now; even with my best heels on, my eighth grade students tower above me by the end of the year. Interacting with 13-14 year olds on a daily basis certainly keeps...Expand for more
me young in spirit.
I am the proud mom of three of the best children ever; it is gratifying that they are friends that enjoy spending time together. My oldest, Brad, at 28 is still following his passions. While being a snowboard/skateboard/downhill bike instructor does not pay particularly well, he is living his life to the fullest. Lizzie at 24 is a Vista Americorps volunteer currently working in Anchorage, Alaska. Independent, adventurous, she lives to travel and explore. My youngest (18), Cat (Catherine) is off to college this fall. ASU bound, she's looking forward to being part of a large, spirited campus.
