Ray's Story
Life
In high school, you knew me as Ray Coffee, but I was born Ray Tackett. After serving a tour in Vietnam (1969-1969), I was stationed in Savannah, GA where I met my current wife to whom I have been married nearly 31 years. Claire and I have three wonderful children: Kim (1971), Lisa (1973) and Bryan (1980). We have also been blessed with two beautiful granddaughters: Caroline (1992 - daughter of Lisa) and Genevieve (1999 - daughter of Kim). g at Kerr-McGee in Savannah as a machinist since 1990. Claire is a nurse manager with St. Joseph's/Candler Health System. Our oldest daughter, Kim is an alumnae of the University of Georgia (1993) and lives in Columbia, SC with her husband Robert and their daughter. Lisa graduated from Armstrong Atlantic State University (2000) and teaches 5th grade at a local school. She will be getting married in July, 2001. Bryan currently attends the University of Georgia and majors in business and hopes to go to law school.
